Oil Trading Business

TPDC participates in the Oil business in two ways. First is through the bulk procurement system where TPDC participates in monthly tender coordinated by the Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency. Second is through its subsidiary company, TANOIL which operates in the downstream oil business. Among the projects that TANOIL is undertaking include oil trading, construction of oil storage terminals, distribution of LPG, lubricants, bitumen, aviation and other petroleum products on a large scale. The projects aim at enhancing the security of the supply of petroleum products in the country. According to the EWURA Sector Performance Report of 2021;TANOIL has attained a 2% market share and it has a huge growth potential.
