By our Correspondent, Morogoro, Deputy Minister of Mines Professor Shukuru Manya presented an honorary award to the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC), organized by the Tanzania Geological Survey (TGS) as part of recognizing TPDC’s contribution to funding and sending representatives (many geologists) to meetings. of the year prepared and coordinated by the Community. The event took place today at the Annual General Meeting of the Geological Survey in the country taking place in Morogoro Region.

Earlier, before handing over the award, the Executive Secretary of the Geological Survey of Tanzania Dr. Elisante Mshiu said: “TPDC has been one of the most important government institutions in the world every year in making our meetings a success. In addition to sending more participants to participate in these meetings, TGS has seen fit to recognize TPDC for its honorary award,” said Dr Mshiu.

At another point, the representative (Geologist) of TPDC Ms. Neema Mangaza said “On behalf of the Executive Director, TPDC commends the Geological Survey in the country for recognizing TPDC’s contribution to funding community meetings and will continue to provide genuine cooperation in the growth of the geological field in the national interest.”

The annual general meeting of the Geological Survey in the country is an important forum that brings together scientists from various higher education institutions, governments, organizations and private companies in the country. TPDC is one of the Government Agencies that specializes in this important field and has been at the forefront of ensuring that it participates and uses the platform effectively with the aim of building the capacity of its professionals.
